Who We Are
Families in Crisis Inc., is a shelter for sexual abuse, domestic violence, and veterans. This organization has not only done good for the women or men in the shelter but also for the community it is located in. Most importantly the affect of Families in Crisis Inc., is nationwide. Not only does Families in Crisis Inc., shelter men, women, and veterans in their community but they have a hotline that anyone worldwide can contact to get referrals to get help in any other location nationwide. This extends a helping hand to give outreach and assistance to those in need all around the United States of America.
I have gained a massive amount of experience from working at Families in Crisis Inc. I have gained work experience such as how to organize clients’ cases. Also I have acquired the knowledge of how to deal with those in need in a time of crisis without becoming rattled by their crisis. Families in Crisis Inc., has also taught me how to network and communicate with other organizations in order to acquire things necessary for the business to thrive and prosper throughout time. The most valuable thing this occupation has taught me is that even in frantic or excited situations to remain calm, analyze the situation slowly, and try to put a plan in place in order to alleviate the situation at hand.
